Bali: Kintamani and Ubud Area

After watching the Kris and Barong dance, we headed to a nearby temple.

Then we went on a long drive to Kintamani to take a glimpse of the Batur Volcano. We had a buffet lunch at Grand Puncak Sari at 80,000 IDR (around 400 PHP) per head. I had a lot of pork satay, similar to Pinoy barbeque. The rest of the food are just ok, nothing remarkable.

Jori + view from the restaurant
A quick coffee + tea taste test afterwards at a tea plantation...

Next was Tirta Empul Temple which was built in 926 AD.
I'm wearing a play suit but brought a skirt, which I added on top of my outfit everytime we visited a temple to pay respect. Sarongs are also available there if you don't bring one.

People bathe in sacred water for healing and spiritual merit...

We also visited the Tegalalang Rice Terraces.

Then we checked out the funeral tower at Puri Agung in Ubud. This tower will temporarily store the body of a king who recently died. The body will be cremated after a ceremony to be held by whole village.

Lastly, we went shopping at Ubud Market.
